David Alan Haines is the President of Precision Measurement Inc. (PMI), a full-service, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 Certified calibration and testing laboratory headquartered in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. With over two decades of experience in the precision measurement and aerospace industries, David leads PMI, committed to technical excellence, customer trust, and community partnership.
David began his career in the United States Air Force as a special operations Black Hawk (H-60) crew chief stationed at Eglin Air Force Base. He brings military precision and mission-focused leadership to every aspect of the company. He later retrained into the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) field—one of the most detail-driven and mission-critical specialties in military support operations. As a PMEL technician, he was responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and certification of high-precision test equipment used across aviation, aerospace, and weapons systems.
Under his direction, PMI has become a trusted partner to both defense and commercial clients, delivering high-quality calibration services backed by industry certifications and a relentless focus on accuracy.
Beyond the business, David is a dedicated advocate for regional economic growth. He serves as an active member of the Okaloosa Economic Development Council and TeCMEN, working alongside local business leaders, educators, and military representatives to strengthen public-private partnerships with Eglin and Hurlburt Field. He also champions STEM education by welcoming local schools to PMI’s facilities for tours and hands-on demonstrations that highlight the real-world applications of math and science.
David continues to drive PMI forward while honoring the values of service, precision, and community impact that have defined both his military and professional careers.
