Well, 2014 is over and it was a great year for Precision Measurement Inc. We added several new key employees; Matt, Chis, and Aaron, all former Air Force Calibration Technicians. And their exceptional skills have been a perfect match for our customers calibration needs. Our growth has not only been in staffing but in capability as well. Additionally we stood up our new Avionics section and attended targeted IFR/Aeroflex Maintenance training. This coupled with the arrival of our new RF Measurement Receiver has greatly decreased our throughput cycle times. So much has happened over the course of 2014 that I can’t possibly capture it all here but our last achievement for the year would be the successful completion of our ISO9001:2008/AS9100C recertification audit with no nonconformities identified.
2015 is shaping up to be just as busy. Our steady growth has presented some challenges that equipment and personnel won’t fix and that is the up tic in administrative tasks. As of January this year we have switched our system of laboratory management over to our new total Laboratory Management Software system. As with any management software upgrade, it has presented many challenges, but the ends certainly justifies the means. We will have real-time management status of the equipment from cradle to grave and what’s exciting is, so will our customers, through internet portals through which they can see instant status on equipment, print certificates and even run status reports. Also on the docket for this year is upgrading to 17025 accreditation. We expect this effort will be completed by June of this year.
So you see, things have been very busy for us, but I wanted to take a moment to thank you, our customers, for your business.
